Papillion Landing Swimming Lessons
Papillion Recreation offers certified swimming lessons for ages 6 months and older. Classes range in size, age, price and ability. Upon successful completion of EACH course, participants will receive a certificate of achievement which indicates they may progress to the next level.
Weeknight Lessons: Tuesday and Thursday evenings for 4 weeks. Registration is required one week in advance. Limited to 5 participants in each class. See class descriptions on-line.
Times Available: 5:30 PM, 6:15 PM or 7:00 PM

Fee:$55.00 per session

Session I: September 20-October 13
Session II: October 25-November 17
2023 Winter Sessions
Session I: January 10-February 2
Session II: February 14-March 9
All toddler swim classes are 20 minutes long and are $45.00 per session.
Minnows (Parent/Child)
Open to parent/child 6 months-3 years old. Parent/Adult accompaniment in the water is required. The purpose of this class is to develop a comfort level in and around water. Swim diapers are required for children who are not potty trained.
Goldfish (Pre-School Level 1)
Open to kids ages 3-4. The purpose of this class is to promote aquatic adjustment, swimming readiness skills and water safety knowledge.
Bettas (Pre-School Level 2)
Open to kids ages 4-5. The purpose of this class is to promote aquatic adjustment, swimming readiness skills, water safety knowledge and introduction to some level 1 skills.
Participants must have passed the previous level or have the required skills to participate. All classes are 30 minutes long and are $55.00 per session.
Flounders (Level 1)
Open to kids ages 5-10. The purpose of this class is to get the individual comfortable in the water. The class content will include: supportive floating on front and back, submerging head under water, and water safety rules.
Clownfish (Level 2)
Open to kids ages 5-10. The purpose of this class is to introduce primary skills. The class will expand on the fundamentals of aquatic movement and safety skills. The class content will include: introduction to front and back crawl, treading and supportive floating for longer distances.
Barracudes (Level 3)
Open to kids ages 5-12. The purpose of this class is to increase swimming skill competency. The class content will include: fundamentals of elementary back stroke, coordination of front and back crawl, diving and jumping into deep water, and treading water.
Stingrays (Level 4)
Open to kids ages 6-12. The purpose of this class is to develop confidence and competency in strokes and skills beyond level 3. The class content will include: deep water bobbing, improving front and back strokes, introduction of the breast stroke, and standing dives.
Dolphins (Level 5)
Open to kids ages 7-14. The purpose of this class is to improve key strokes and endurance. The class content will include: introduction of the butterfly stroke, open turns, and surface and standing dives.
Sharks (Level 6)
Open to kids ages 9-14. The purpose of this class is to refine and polish strokes so the swimmer will move with more ease, efficiency, and power over greater distances.
