Volunteer Opportunities

Adult Volunteers

The Library is not currently accepting applications for adult volunteers. However, the Friends of the Library are accepting applications for adults looking to volunteer in the Friends Bookstore (located inside Sump). Please email Ginny Weston at gweston@cox.net to ask about the Friends of the Library application process.

Teen Volunteers

The Library does not currently have any openings for general teen volunteers. Be sure to check back in the Spring when we open applications for Summer Reading volunteers. 

Summer Reading Volunteer Orientation

It is mandatory to attend one of the below orientation dates to volunteer with the Library during the Summer Reading Program. Orientation Dates:

Tues. May 2nd - 6PM - Sump in the Youth Department

Thurs. May 4th - 6PM - Sump in the Youth Department

Sat. May 13th - 2PM - On Zoom - Meeting Link [Meeting ID: 889 8871 5811 Passcode: 998302]

The Summer Reading Program will run June 1st - July 31st.

Qualifications:

  • Must attend one of the orientations
  • Must be entering 7th Grade to 12th Grade in the next calendar school year
  • Must be able to volunteer once in June and July for a minimum total of 4 hours.
